DISTRICT DRINKING WATER IS SAFE FROM CYANOTOXIN

The Clearlake Oaks County Water District is actively participating in a monitoring program at our Water Treatment plant for both our raw and treated water in response to recent cyanotoxin issues within the state. In fact, the District received A Certificate of Excellence from the State Water Resources Control Board in 2016 for helping to develop the current monitoring program. Granular Activated Carbon is the technology the District uses to control cyanotoxin. It is also used by many other Districts. On June 1st, 2018 the Granular Activated Carbon in Clearlake Oaks County Water District’s two 24,000 lb., filters was replaced with fresh media to protect our finished water.
